Create RSS from your blog

If you have a blog, you almost certainly already have an RSS feed, you just don't know it. If you need to know the RSS url, you can click 'View source' in your web browser and look for a line that looks similar to this: <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS 2.0" href="http://myblog.com/feed/" /> However, your readers don't need to know the RSS URL to read your blog in a good RSS reader. The RSS reader will simply auto-detect it.

Create RSS from your web site

If you have a web site which is not a blog, you probably don't have an RSS feed.

The best way to create an RSS feed is to add a blog to your site, and tell people the web address of your blog so that they can subscribe to it for updates.

It is also possible to program your own custom RSS feed based on dynamic content from your site. This would require a programmer to create a page on your site which serves content in the RSS XML format.
